Washington State parks are impossible to get into in the summer, unless you pre-book, which we hate to do. We felt lucky enough to get into the marina RV park, but we had to go over and see what we were missing on the other side of town.

It’s a gorgeous little park, with gorgeous sandy beaches, windswept seascapes and wild open grassy plains.

There are two campgrounds. The beach campground features 50 full-service (water, electric, and sewer) hookup sites. With the high dune all along the beach, I’m not sure how much of the water you can see from the campground, but it’s a really nice location very close to beautiful sandy beaches. The sites give a good amount of space, but there are no trees for privacy down here.

If you want more privacy, then the forested sites in the upper campground might be your better choice. It features 30 sites with water, electricity, and a sewer dump station nearby. The campsites are fairly level, and quite long. This campground offers easy access to miles of trails.

Campsites are popular and fill quickly year-round. Reservations are highly recommended. Individual campsite reservations can be made online or by calling 360-344-4400.
